DOCTOR U. 2.0

Doctor U. 2.0 is the second pediatric outpatient clinic within a growing family healthcare network in Kyiv. Located in a residential complex on the city’s Left Bank, the project rethinks the clinical environment through the lens of comfort, scale, and emotional ease.

The space is intentionally compact and carefully proportioned. Its scale is calibrated to children’s perception, creating a sense of intimacy and personal attention rather than institutional anonymity. The interior continues the design language established in the first clinic, ensuring visual consistency across the network while introducing a distinct identity through color.

The layout is organized around a central waiting area, three pediatric offices, and a restroom. The waiting zone accommodates three to four patients at a time and features modular arch-shaped poufs alongside a compact reception desk with integrated storage.

Consultation rooms are fully equipped for pediatric practice, yet all medical instruments and supplies are concealed within custom-built storage systems. This approach reduces visual stress and supports a child-friendly environment.

A key custom element developed specifically for this clinic is the multifunctional cabinet-couch. The lower section integrates drawers for medical equipment, while the upper surface serves as a softly upholstered examination area — combining practicality and comfort in a single architectural unit.

Wood-textured wall panels with integrated warm lighting form a soft architectural envelope. Stopping short of the ceiling, they allow light transoms between consultation rooms and the waiting area, enhancing natural light and visual connection while maintaining privacy.

A seamless, slip- and scratch-resistant floor meets medical standards while its light tone reinforces cleanliness without evoking a sterile atmosphere. Color defines the clinic’s identity: a pale lavender base creates a calm backdrop, accented by vibrant orange for warmth and playfulness.
