Doctor U. is a two-room children's outpatient clinic located in a new residential complex in Kyiv. Our main task was to create a friendly environment for the medical institution that does not leave negative memories from visiting doctors.
The space has a waiting area, two pediatric rooms, and a restroom. A small area and a planning solution have ensured complete privacy and an individual approach to managing each patient, adding calm and comfort.
The rooms are equipped with all the necessary supplies for full-scale pediatrician attendance, but all the attributes of therapeutic activity are hidden in the storage areas. Such a solution enhances the non-medical climate in the clinic. Also, each room has a pediatrician's workplace for making records and maintaining a dialogue with a patient, a procedure area, and an examination area on the couch.
The floors throughout the clinic have been made in a homogeneous linoleum coating with a high class of resistance to abrasion and sanitization. In addition, the light color of the floor brings a feeling of cleanliness to the clinic.
The wall panels with light wood texture unite all premises and create visual comfort. The panels' height does not reach the ceiling to scale the proportions to a children's perception.
The sanitary room has been designed thinking children of different ages will use it. For example, there is a surface with a baby care mat for the little ones, a bench for self-hygiene of hands, and a small mirror for the older children.
